Help with D7 mark. Possible Austro Hungarian?

Hi, I have a table spoon with marks that look Austro Hungarian but i can't find the exact match in any books. It is the D7 at the top of the mark that I can't find in any of my books. Does anyone know where D7 is the mark for? Any answers are most appreciated. 42jbb https://preview.ibb.co/bvMTsF/IMG...

Re: Do you get Russian duty Dodgers?

Thank you, AG2012 you have been very helpful. It is interesting to see that duty dodging was an international practice.

Kind Regards,

Do you get Russian duty Dodgers?

Hi everyone, I have a question about duty dodging in Russia. I have seen a teapot with what look to be real marks from Moscow from the mid 18th century but the teapot looks 1830s, the teapot is only marked on the base, which it shouldn't be from that period. I think some has used a hallmarked piece ...

I need some help with the marks on this spoon? Can anyone help.

Hi can anyone tell me where about the spoon was made in France? Who was the manufacturer? And what is the funny looking giraffe mark as I have never seen it before? The top mark is A over D with a rose in the middle. The middle mark I can't make out. The bottom mark looks like a giraffe. Any help ap...

Colonial table spoon. Any help appreciated.

Hi I have this colonial table spoon. I can't work out the maker. The punch is quite bashed. I think it might be Jamaica or Barbados. The initials are the portrait instead of Landscape the usual for the region. If any one can provide any information. I would be very grateful. https://www.925-1000.com...

Any suggestions of books on Russian?

Hi, can anyone think of any good books on Russian silver? I don't mind what language the books are in. If there are any books that are really good on Communist silver they would be good to see.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Best Wishes

Re: PLEASE help ID this mark

You item seems to French. The horses head looks to be a large discharge mark from Limoges 1780/91. The purity should be .958

Hope this helps.

Unknown marks on sugar shovel possibly Swedish?

Hi I have a small sugar shovel with mercury gilding. I can't make head or tail of the marks. From the shape of the shovel and the general look of the marks I think it might be Swedish or Finnish. Can anyone help me please? The finial is flat unlike British silver. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-...
