Re: S. Stroganov Curious Detail?

Hi
Question: Pavel and Sergeij run the Moscow shop. Why only Sergeij marked with his initial (according to the rumors)? What did Pavel? Why no marked objects from him? Lack of equality? Usually they use the court supplier logo....they were very proud of that!

In my opinion it is Stroganov.

After the formal dissolution of the Soviet Union at the end of 1991, it was possible without much difficulty to enter - only a visa was needed. Likewise Russians could freely travel with...

Hi -[ quote="Qrt.S"] He is Ilja Grigorjevich Sorokin 1892-1910. [/quote] https://abload.de/img/odessaa1j67tljom.jpg Yes Sorokin used the mark MO too alongside with ИС 1895-1910. There are several sources, Green Ivanov, Miller... Different dates! Without source suspicious! Goldstein

Re: Russian Silver Gilt & Niello Champagne Flutes

Hi Ubaranda - I think I made it clear that I have no source - only the "friendly note" of a collector colleague from Russia. If you know who the maker is - do not hesitate to enlighten me. He is well known among collectors - many beautyful niello spoons etc. exist. PL mention him - but hav...

Re: Russian Silver Gilt & Niello Champagne Flutes

Hi AG2012 -

I'm just as curious as you who it could be. 2 letters are simply not enough - you need a comparison mark (soothmark or photo). Everything else is not very serious and leads in the wrong direction. Skurlov and Ivanov are not alway helpful.

Hi AG2012 - as you may know I am a collector of Russian silver and have the same literature as everybody. In addition, I have connections / exchange of ideas with other, international collectors - including many Russians. From this sources came the name of Kolotoschin - a often found niello spoon ma...

Re: Niello Spoon

Hi Qrt.S - Hmmmmm... I'm not fully convinced that this is the case. The time span is rather big. The spoon's year is 1844. In addition, there is no mentioning of that Anton Tchevarsin would have used the mark М.Ч. Mihail and Anton are well known, why is Mihail not mentioned anywhere? At least I have...

Re: Niello Spoon

Hi madej - if you have problems with the translation use "google translator" . It is very time consumating to explain to you what was written again and again!! This are the marks of Tchevarsin Anton Mikhailovich (the father of Mikhail - the maker of your spoons). https://abload.de/img/211t...
