Date & maker of spoon

Hi This table spoon has some quite worn marks, but I was wondering if there is enough detail left for anybody to speculate on a date and a maker. Many Thanks Martin https://i.postimg.cc/RFZnZSVW/IMG-20200711-101300.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/k5cbC69r/IMG-20200711-101336.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/R09H21...

Maker of table spoon

Hi This table spoon which unfortunately has a rubbed date mark, has a makers mark of what looks like JB. I can't seem to find an appropriate candidate, can anybody suggest who the maker may be? Many Thanks Martin https://i.postimg.cc/rp8FDpcG/IMG-20200710-103657.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/DwQwfGVy/IMG...

Re: Where is this spoon from.

Thanks Trev, have you any indication on the maker? I know Turner attributes an Aberdeen and an Elgin mark to Rettie & Son, I wonder if the same maker had a Dundee mark.

Where is this spoon from.

Hi I have this teaspoon that I originally thought was an example from Scottish maker Rettie & Son, but I have been unable to track down these particular marks. Has anybody got any ideas on the spoon's origin? Many Thanks Martin https://i.postimg.cc/HkcmQr6Q/SAM-6628.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/Fz8W...

Dog nose spoon identity

Hi I am looking for some help in trying to identify the marks on this dog nose spoon. I have posted here but am not 100% certain of it being provincial, any thoughts would be most welcome. Many Thanks Martin https://i.postimg.cc/85G0nR4B/SAM-6611-3.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/q7yFLbsv/SAM-6616-2.jpg

Fork date and maker

Hi I have this three pronged fork with a makers mark of I.I possibly James Jennings or Joshua Jackson. The date letter is somewhat rubbed, could anybody hazard a guess at the maker and date? Thank you both very much for your excellent information. I do not currently own the piece but was interested in buying it, I thought however it would be prudent to seek advice here before making any offer to purchase.

Re: Toddy ladle marks

Hi Matt

I have posted below a cropped image of the makers mark which basically shows all the detail there is. As for a missing letter before the A, then it could be the case but unfortunately its impossible to tell.

Thomas Wallis II makers mark?

Hi I am assuming the makers mark on this shell back teaspoon is that of Thomas Wallis II. However it has two pellets dividing the initials, I cannot recall seeing a Wallis mark with a single pellet let alone two. Has anyone else seen this mark before or is it a different maker? Many Thanks Martin ht...
