Re: Ladle

Hi

I think this is the mark of John Lampfert, London 1769.

Thank you both for the replies. The decoration is very similar to the piece you show AG2012.

Thanks Again

Re: Help identifying this crest

Hi

In my opinion it is a crude attempt to attribute a piece to that of Napolean Bonaparte, I doubt a piece of this quality would ever have belonged to him, however lets see what others think.

13th Artel milk jug

Hi I have this milk jug which appears to have the markings of the 13th Artel. My knowledge of Russian silver is limited and particularly so about the work of the different Artels. The piece looks and feels right to me, but I would be grateful for the opinions of others on the authenticity of the ite...

Re: Where is this spoon from?

Hi

I have done the acid test at room temperature and also on the end of the bowl where it has worn down through use. This would obviously expose the inner material of the spoon and it still tests as silver.

Re: Unknown maker

Hi

I think what you describe as a bell is a rubbed letter A. I believe this is the mark of Louis Angee.

Cigarette case maybe Austrian

Hi This cigarette case is identically marked on both interior sides with the marks in the 3rd image and on the thumbpiece with AA as shown in the 2nd image. I think it may be Austrian but am unsure, I would welcome the opinion of other members who may be able to point me in the right direction. Many...

Hi

I believe this is an as yet unidentified makers silver plate mark, most likely of Sheffield origin.
