Hi! If those three marks are all the marks then in my opinion this I would consider a fake as the marks are not according to the marking system in russia. Possibly done in one of the Sovjet states/satellites as the filigree work looks typical to 20th century items. Also some cautious should be left ...

I don't know how you came to Dagestan, the 9KXK mark is mentioned in P-L (#6262) to have been used by factories in Moscow and Baku (Azerbaijan). As the district is marked with cyrillic M it is then Moscow, if it had been cyrillic B then it had been Baku.

Hi! I remember the case, in that case we had two marks on the item, one fake from the russian period and then the fake remarking from the sovjet period. As you mentioned it was condemned a fake and I would agree on the outcome. The case was clearer as the russian period mark was clearly a fake so th...

Qrt.S remembers these well and it is as he indicated. The 9KXK is the Kubachinsky Art Factory in Moscow and the year is 1969.

Hi! Yes the assay master letters are in cyrillic and the name of the assayer is Alexander Vyrzhiovsky. Actually he was working in Kiev from 1899-1904, not in Kostroma, so your spoons have been made/assayed in that period. I found a silversmith in Kiev with the cyrillic letters KB, unfortunately he i...

Hi!

There were several silversmiths with the cyrillic initials KB so it would be good to know from which district the kokoshnik mark is from. As you might know in that period it is indicated by the assay masters initials in the mark. A photo would help if possible.

Hi!

The hammer and sickle mark was used in Sovjet Union from 1958 onwards. Your spoon has been assayed in Tallin (the cyrillic letter e) and the spoon has been made by Tallin jewelry factory in 1972.

Hi! Great pictures indeed. The spoon has been made in Moscow and as you wrote in the 1880-90's, what I can read of the year mark. The makers mark consists typically of two or three letters, here I can not say what the letters are. Possibly if you try to clean with a toothpick and some silver cleanin...

Hi!

I don't think the head mark is Latvian, looks different and the shield has the wrong shape. Can't say from which country.

Hi! Yes you are correct the tea set is russian and more preciously the tea set has been assayed by Nikolai Dubrovin in Moscow in 1834. The silversmith I.G is unknown to me, there was an Ivan Semenovich Gubkin with these initials but the mark is in a rektangular shield and he started the factory firs...

Hi,

Your nice beaker has been controlled by alderman Fedor Petrov and assayed by assaymaster Stefan Elkin in 1780 in Moscow. The silversmith is unknown, he worked until 1798.

I don't have the exact information when the use of the shield shape mark ended but I am assured you have the right year, after which the oval shape would have been used until 1939 (practically to 1963).

According to my references both the shield and oval shape has a letter behind the head (refering to the assay office). I can see that there would be a letter behind the head in the pictures but it is too unclear to say which letter it is. Could dopler tell if/what letter there is? I can not see in t...

Hi! The first picture is a russian kokoshnik as you know and indicated by Qrt.S. If you can read what the makers mark is then someone can possibly tell you the maker. I am also confident that the maker is not Anders Nevalainen even if it reads AN. The second and last picture have polish marks from 1...

Hi,

The SR 84 was used during the period from 1915 to 1920, so after the Russians left Warsaw and before the introduction of the Polish national hallmarking system in 1 September 1920.
