Good Evening
Here is another similar pin with a springbok head from South Africa. This resembles the work by Simba but is marked Kruger Park/Wildtuin.

Simba Jewellery Pretoria

Good day I just wanted to share this old advert that I found in a mammal guide for Kruger Park from 1968. It is a small advert for Simba, a South African Silversmith. They made animal and Africa inspired brooches, spoons and other souvenirs. Groete Jannie https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https...

Re: Unknown Eagle

Good evening
I had a closer look at crown. It seems to be a coronet of a marquess. Still trying to figure out if it is Austrian, German or Polish.

2 Oz African gold weight

Good Morning I have this interesting brass cast buffalo that I bought online. It exactly weighs 2 oz and seems to be African. With some research I found that it could be a weight for gold dust used in Ghana. Are there a way to date it? Any more information will be welcome. Groete Jannie https://www....

Unknown Eagle

Good day Any idea what country this eagle represent? It seems to be an Imperial eagle, maybe Polish, but viewed from above while flying with head pointing forward. It looks like the crown is held in the beak. Any information will be welcome https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg Groete Jannie

Thank you for all your information. It does resemble Clement Berg's hallmark and I found similar spoons on internet.

Enamelled spoon

Good day I am looking for information on this sterling Silver Gilt enamel Demitasse tea spoon. It has a lot of markings. First mark is oval with 3 crowns, then S followed by 925 S. Not certain what the last mark is. Groete Jannie https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/X...

Holland teelepel 2

Good day Here is another tea spoon. It only got the fineness mark and makers mark VK for I think J.M van Kempen & Zonen. Not certain of the age of this spoon but it does carry a fineness mark for before 1953. Groete Jannie https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg...

Holland teelepel 1

Good day I am trying to find out more about this tea spoon. It has a date letter from 1906, standard mark silver .833 fineness (1814-1953). Maker mark is JS with hammer beneath. Is it usual for small items to carry the large fineness mark? Any information about maker will be welcome. Groete Jannie h...

Thank you for the replies. Yes the mark looks like a pot with a pen in it.
Interesting that they have sifted the heraldic symbols.

Good day I am trying to find out more about this Portuguese 833 silver crested spoon. It has L. MARQUES written on it followed by an unknown mark and then the Porto 833 silver mark. Re: Pig Pincushion

Morning
Thanks for the advice. Hopefully our local jeweler are good enough to fix it. I know he do time to time fix silver.
This pig is exactly the same as one by Levi & Salaman that was made a year earlier, I believe it's most likely by them.
