I believe the hallmark is actually for 1915 rather than 1935 as the watch is from that period also. The marks are very close in appearance though.
By 1935, stem wind/pin set watches had been superceded by stem wind/set.

I believe the mark you are referring to is the Glasgow Assay office mark for imported silver.
The letter may be the date stamp.
