Ok I have borrowed an old edition of millers silver & plate by john wilson circa 1997. On page 180 under george 111 right hand e? looks like what I thought was an r and in my old copy of Bradburys 1977 page 64 the edinburgh p 1769 looks quite the same. So from what I can see it may be quite old ...
