Scandinavian maker's mark

I have a 830 silver bracelet with some maker's marks I can't identify. I wonder if anyone could help me please? I think the bracelet is Scandinavian as it is marked '830S'. Thank you!

Re: hallmark with a hexagon, ?Polish scarf lady

Thanks Trev,

Thanks so much for your help - very speedy!! I had wondered about a Spanish mark but because it didn't have the pentangle I thought perhaps it wasn't ... Doh!

hallmark with a hexagon, ?Polish scarf lady

Hi there. I have a silver ring with a mottled stone (no idea what stone it is), with a mystery set of marks on the outside of the band. The first stamp seems to be a hexagon with '5 ?8 2 B' in it, the second a mark that looks like a P or a snake's head or a drooping flower bud in an oval stamp, and ...

Re: Help with hallmark please!

Hello AG2012 and thank you for all this wonderful information. I am really happy to know all this - so much information from so few tiny marks. It's very kind of you to take the time to let me know. I really appreciate it.

Re: Help with hallmark please!

Hello Olga,

Thank you so much! I had wondered if it was St Petersburg with the alpha, but the rest of it didn't seem to 'fit'. I really appreciate you going to all this trouble for me - I'm very grateful!

Help with hallmark please!

I have a pair of red stone cufflinks with a hallmark I can't place. It has a woman's head facing right, with an alpha before it and 875 after. It isn't quite right for a Polish hallmark as far as I can see, not does it quite fit the Russian Second Kokoshnik mark: it seems to have elements of both? A...

Re: Help identifying unknown marks on a shell bracelet pleas

Hi Trev

Sorry for my tardy reply. The letters are definitely 'nt', in lower case letters. I'm getting a Scandinavian vibe off the bracelet, but could well be way off the mark!

Cheers

Help identifying unknown marks on a shell bracelet please

Hi. I have a solid sterling silver bracelet, marked '925' in six places, with a tiny set of four marks/hallmarks that I can't identify. From left to right they are 1 'nt' in a square/rectangle 2 '925' in an oval 3 what looks like a circle with a cross through it in an oval 4 what looks like an o or ...

800 handarbeit AMS makers mark - German?

Hello everyone. I have a hammered-finish slightly abstract bar brooch, marked 'Handarbeit 800 AMS'. I wonder if anyone knows the maker? I assume it's German or Austrian, so Jugendstil? It has a simple C catch on the back. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg ...

Modernist ring - EDW maker's mark

This ring has a maker's mark which I haven't been able to identify: .EDW or .E.D.W I have no idea where the ring was made, I'm afraid. A massive thank you to anyone who can shed any light on the maker! https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg Many thanks, Siskin.

Re: 800 ?Art Nouveau silver ring, makers' marks SH and WB

Thank you so much Bahner and Dognose, that is so great to know! So if it is made in Pforzheim, is it Jugendstil? And I see the advert says Wilhelm Becker is a maker of paste jewellery - is it likely that the amber is paste? It feels warm and has the internal light and life that real amber has, and a...

I think the first maker's mark could be read as CH as well as SH.

800 ?Art Nouveau silver ring, makers' marks SH and WB

I have an 800 silver ring with an amber cabochon, and it has two maker's marks that I have not been able to identify, SH in a circle and WB in an angled cartouche. I wonder if anyone can help me with the makers? I don't know the country of origin and the style seems to me possibly Skonvirkey / Art N...
