Coffe Set (3 pieces)

Hi all, I bring a set for coffee, from late XIX or early XX century, with two marks each piece. The upper mark seems a human face and in the bottom I see an "A" and "S". In the middle looks like a "T" and a "V" tangled. Any clue about manufacturer and probable...

Christofle numbers

HI all, I have a Christofle silverware with a number, I am tracking down. Riding the web I found those serial numbers, in Christofle's, are unique for each article, even when the tradition sets them for a whole batch. I also read that nobody knows the code, no record exist and probably never existed...

Sterling - Glass Art nouveau bottle

HI all, This little bottle probably contained some cool "perfume" long ago. I cant smell any trace of it now though. Anyway what i do care is about who made it, I suppose sometime between late XIX and early XX century, when art nouveau was flourishing. The marks are difficult to read. I se...

Sterling - Glass Art nouveau Flask ... for whiskey ?

HI all, Here is this little bottle, I assume for some kind of liqueur, from late XIX, maybe early XX, with three marks in the bottom: "Sterling", "4 100", and something else, certainly the maker's mark. http://la-valia.wallinside.com/fotos/14024913881565534885.jpeg http://la-vali...

Re: Rack for bread

Hi Trev, I found in silvercollection.it that William Howe & Co was active under that name from 1858-1861, then stayed only as William Howe until 1866 ... and several names came later. So I am starting to think my rack belongs to 1858-1861, am I close ? :)

Ty again.

Rack for bread

Hi all, Here I'm posting a rack with a sort of gothic mark. I only see the easy part ( & Co.) but as usual this stuff becomes tricky for my untrained eyes. Help ! http://la-valia.wallinside.com/fotos/1399407759706337185.jpeg http://la-valia.wallinside.com/fotos/13994078581448349439.jpeg Thanks a...

Cheltenham flatware pattern

I believe it must be from 1950's ... maybe earlier but it doesn't look very old for me.

Souvenir Spoon marked "AA LION"

HI all, I have a small souvenir spoon with a sort of palace or cathedral, marked with "AA", mirrored, maybe "AIA" and underneath you can read the word "LION". Notice that it is not a lion figure. Anyway the lion reference pointed me to England but ... do the English mak...
