Your ring is hallmarked sterling silver, Birmingham in 1984 the maker is J.C. (Midland) Jewellers Vyse St. 1st registered September 1979. Hope this helps.

This on must be a record for the longest time for a reply!!! Makers mark is S. Glass, jeweller 3 Elizabeth Street, Cheetham, Manchester. First registered with us 12th January 1903 and again 16th January 1907. Hope this helps.

Makers mark is for Julius Nussbaum, Stick Mounter, 46 Fore St. London, first registered with Birmingham 27th November 1888 and finally on 12th November 1903, I hope this helps kind regards.

This makers mark is for H. Stroud Ltd, registered by Herbert and Edith Stroud, listed as wholesale jewellers 87 Kenton Road, Kenton. This mark was registered 24th March 1939. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry to hear you have not had a reply from the Birmingham Assay Office (i.e. us) hopefully this will go some way to redressing the balance. People put too much emphasis on books like 'Bradburys' and 'Jacksons' all permutations of shield shape could not be included, just like they tend to be sil...
