Any info on these hallmarks. I have seen somewhere before.

Very unusual German dresser box. Anyone familiar with these marks?

Does any one know this probably 20th century French silversmith? I think the mark is G cross P.

Has anyone seen hallmarks like these, any info helpful. I suspect post 1870 it has Germany written on bottom.

Could this makers mark be for Thomas Goslee 1790 or Thomas Gibbord I have trouble with imported items. Any info would help.

Thank you oel. Probaly German silver Alloy. It was highly oxidized like 800 silver. The swan does not look like J. Kurz or Scleissners Hanau marks. The N looks similar to Gebruder Gutgesells however he does not show swan mark. I will try to research further or someone else may know maker.

Would this be Dutch maybe Jan Van Geelen 1785 or is it German. Doesn't seem like Hanau Silver. Any info would be great.

British, Austrian, French etc. export marks have been a life saver for unmarked or unknown marked silver/gold.

German Hanau silver marked snuff box like the Crown L items in resource section however has bird head instead of Crown L. Here is another shot of hallmark. It looks like a chevron in a circle, 800, then HF over H in an open end triangle. I am in the process of cleaning several pieces we have found last week.
