I have seen the pics of the tray and the mark and it is solid silver. Made in 1881-2...London...by Francis Boone Thomas. It incorporates georgian silver coins.
Best wishes, Mike.

Only suggested maybe fake but stamps on fakes are usually inaccurate and may include lion facing wrong way as a result of reverse made stamp. Also Leopards head may be out of shape....box may be wrong shape for apparent year....makers mark non-existent or wrongly stamped with dot in wrong place etc ...

Is your bracelet actually stamped with 925..if not how do you know it is 925 silver? Also Some lower grade silver is simply marked 800....if you turn your mark upside down..is it possibly 800 rather than 100R or P?

Miles. It is most certainly a large dinner knife for main course as was the fashion in the middle/upper classes of the day and on the pic you have uploaded it looks like young Victorias head..perhaps just the light...any chance of a clearer pic of all the marks please..E-mail if you like. Best wishe...

Miles, your spoon may well be silver but possibly a fake of much later than apparent date, designed to fool the unwary collector. Many such items appear on the market and are at least worth the scrap value of the silver or more to anyone who is unscrupulous enough to try to sell it on. I have a coup...

Thanks for the pics. The letter is actually a stylised italic 'K' and your set was made in 1884-5 by George Unite, a sought after maker due to the quality of his work. It is essentially a set for eating fruit.
Best wishes, Mike.

Ther actual date of your item is London import 1912-13. GB will most certainly be the maker of whichever country the item came from. What I am teling you is correct! Best wishes, Mike.

Unfortunately the glass engravers of that period are not generally recorded but your item has a rare beauty and mounted with a glorious silver mount of that date gives it a good intrinsic value. What a lovely jug...rarely have I seen one so well engraved.
Best wishes, Mike
