Thanks for the welcome Trev. What you say makes sense. I wonder which mark is the earlier one, this or the WT with star above. I suspect the former.

I don't think the mark is too really badly struck. William Teulon seems to have had two marks, one just WT with STERLING in full or as per Argentum's photo, STERLg. The T on this mark does look odd but it is the same as others I have seen and on two dessert spoons I own myself (see image below). His...
