Re: Silver spoons - the twelve apostles in a casette - the Netherlands

Dear Peter, It's indeed from Groningen, but not the shown Makers brand of Fa. Gebr.Deelman He is not mentioned in the K.A.Citroen (VZN) in the Groningen section. What is mentioned: The successor of Tjeerd Rekers in Workum (Friesland) and of the Roelfsema brothers seems to have been Douwe de Jong in ...

Re: Netherlands Apostle Spoons ? date

Hallo, Oel's comment is correct. To make it even more subtle, it is worth mentioning that the "Floral Pseudo Mark" was used in Schoonhoven . (S). This is stated in the book of K.A. Citroen. In the front of this book, under the names of Schoonhoven (Pseudo), there are a number of names that...

Re: Letter opener with coin

Thanks Peter. The maker mark consists in my opinion from a vase and letters , sth like DUVOISIN. Not sure though. RICHARD DUVOISIN JEWELLERY Place du Temple 4 CH-1227 Carouge Geneve The first store opened at the Rue de la Cité in the late 1940s. It was then moved to the Passage du Terraillet. After...

Re: dutch silver mustard pot and salt containers VS mark

Hi Guido,

I think that it was made in Hoorn.(Netherlands)
But we wait until all marks are placed, as already stated by Trev.
The marks must all connect seamlessly to give a correct answer

Re: As yet unknown maker mark

Hi ,....

I think Ascasonline http://www.ascasonline.org/newsFEBBRA165.html misinterpretation and means FIBRU - EUROPE (Fibru.com) but that is not the makers mark.

The Makers Mark (FC) shown is from:
Fisch - Fernand Alfred Antoine Brussels
active 1-2-1942 - ca 1953

Re: As yet unknown maker mark

A small addition FIBRU - EUROPE bvba has been around since 1853. In 1853 the first medals were minted, engraved in a modest atelier by master engraver Antoine Fish The activities were soon expanded to official awards, trophies and art goods.
