Re: Russian Spoon 7

Hallmarks are fake. The town mark is similar to Vitebsk or Mogilev but there has never been assayer with initials И.A. in these cities. Moreover, there was no assayer with the initials И.A. in all of Russia in 1871.

Re: Russian Spoon 5

Qrt.S , my sources are not PL or Ivanov's books. I used the Moscow address calendars. In 1886 Petrov was on the staff of Moscow assay office, but in 1887 he was already absent there. http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1559852103/fd3712fc/26806017_m.jpg http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1559852178/6e06b679/26806036_m.jp...

Hi!
Yes, this is indeed Vasily Petrov, but according to my sources, he worked in 1883-1886.
Qrt.S, can you show Petrov's marks in 1887-1893?

Help to identify this silver cup

Hello! Maybe someone knows something about this silver cup - origin, age, maker? I suppose this is German of the late 18th - early 19th century but i am not sure. Thanks in advance! http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1558976419/a8924ff7/26680241_m.jpg http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1558977042/9e619d96/26680347_m.jpg ...

Hi! Dad is absolutely right. Соломон Гробдрук (Solomon Grobdruk) is retailer from Kishinev. The maker, most probably, is Израиль Цитрин (Israel Tsytrin) from Odessa. Hi, Fedor Frolov (Федор Фролов) PL 2978 Regards Hello! It's not true. The maker is Fyodor Rastorguev (Фёдор Расторгуев), №3462 in Ivanov's book. Compare the marks of Rastorguev and Frolov. Re: Russian Silver Gilt & Niello Champagne Flutes

Hello!

Goldstein, can you show examples of similar maker's marks AK with the Yaroslavl assay mark? If not, further discussion doesn't make any sense.

Regards.

Re: Wagner 12 - maker/age help

Hello! I am sure that the spoon of mk209 was made of 12-lot silver and was made by the famous Lithuanian maker Krzysztof Benjamin Wagner from Vilno. Here about him and the examples of his marks: http://images.vfl.ru/ii/1557232313/db6dd1f3/26449975_m.jpg This Information from the book: http://images....

@Ubaranda One more question, if you don't mind. In Postnikova Minsk is a mess that we all know. However, there are some other assayers mentioned there, among those Frolov, Uchatov and Sorokin. Is this correct or incorrect? Thank you in advance. Hello! Information about Frolov and Ushatov is correct...

Hello! This is Minsk. This coat of arms was approved in 1878, but began to be used as an town mark since 1890. Perhaps the maker is A.Kreindel' (А.Крейндель).
