Silver Plate Tea Strainer?

Hello,

Can anyone help identify the markings on this silver plate tea strainer? The pictures are not great but I hope they can help. Here are the link. Many thanks,
Greg.

Re: Dutch Silver Marks On A Buckle

Thankyou Oel for the info on the buckle. Re uploading an image, thanks for the instructions. In the past I have deleted all my images after I feel I have had my queries answered but in future I'll just let them stay there (makes sense!). However I have seen posts with pictures in the actual post its...

Dutch Silver Marks On A Buckle

Hello, I have a nice Dutch buckle with a single sword mark which I think denotes the period 1814-1905. There seems to be a maker's mark or town mark above the sword but it is too convoluted for me to decipher. However there is a mystery mark of "2vG" which can be seen clearly but all my re...

European Silver PicklePastry Fork

Hello, I wonder ifanyone can decipher these marks? I've gone through most of the European hallmarks for this lovely little fork but I can't find any matches. I am thinking it is European but I may be wrong. I was told it may be Lithuanian but the marks don't match at all. I find intriguing the maker...

Two ? Russian Spoons

Hello, Here are three links to the images of the two spoons on Photobucket. X X I think they could be genuine solid silver Russian spoons with a gold-plated exterior. The hallmarks look like they should be but I can only decipher the 84 and Kokoshnik marks. Can anyone decipher the marks on both spoo...

Re: Dating French Silver

Thankyou for your interesting post Oel. It would I guess be very in depth research to actually trace the actual assayers for any silver item but I'm usually happy with a date, a place and a maker : )! Does anyone actually trace the assayers of their items? If so, are there any rare assayers?! Gosh, ...

Dating French Silver

Hi, I've been researching a French spoon I bought recently and have come to a conclusion that it is impossible to actually find a specific year of manufacture for most French silver items. Is this correct? I only found my spoon, made by Albert Deflon, could have been made between the dates of 1907-1...

Continental Butter Knife

Hello, I acquired this butter knife and technically it should be silver as it has an 800 mark, however I am not really sure, so pardon if I have posted my query in the wrong section. The only mark is a triangle with what seems to be KD over 800. I am suspecting this could be Dutch in origin?? Can an...

Thankyou Trev. I didn't realise Norwegian and Swedish marks were so similar. I've now updated my records, thanks again!

Baffled!

Hello, This lovely spoon has me baffled as to which country it was made in. I'm presuming it is continental as it is .800 grade. Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Swedish Spoon

Hello, This is a handsome looking spoon but I cannot decipher one of the hallmarks to make my records complete. I know it is Swedish but the mark I cannot decipher is the one that looks like a goblet in an oval cartouche. This could also well be some sort of stylised lettering as I've seen similar d...

Scallop Dish

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help with this item. It is a small scallop dish and the only marks on it are a spider and a pentagram. The spider doesn't seem to be on a web. I have a feeling it is possibly silver plate and continental but I'm hoping it may be solid silver. Apologies if I have posted in ...
