Small Ladle Unique Marks

I am thinking this is probably provincial but have not been able to find anything about these makers to date, any help much appreciated, best guess is mid-late 1700's. http://www.antiquescove.com/auctions/30062/30062.1.JPG http://www.antiquescove.com/auctions/30062/30062.4.JPG

Re: Danish Silver Bowl B.U 900

I guess this bowl will remain an unknown! But thanks for everyone who looked and for the forum effort by moving the post to another thread to see if we found anything there!

Danish Silver Bowl B.U 900

Hello All, I recently picked up this bowl, it is gold washed on the inside and has a lovely raised floral design on the side. It is marked on the base B.U with a pair of fans 900. I was able to find another piece with this same mark on the net, at an auction house called Bruun Rasmussen in Denmark, ...

Help Identifying Cutlery Set

Hi, I am trying to figure out who made this cutlery set and get a better idea of the date. From the forums I have been able to decipher a bit of the information, there are a total of 6 hallmarks - 1) a plum of feathers, 2) lion rampant below a crown, 3) a flower below a crown, 4) a date letter d bel...

Should this thread be moved to the American silver section? I don't know how to do that...

Re: Mexico Serving Set Orchids

Wow, Cheryl, and I literally went through every American page yesterday and didn't notice this...truth is the photos are bad but also the mark is badly impressed and there are no ways to make out the B letter below the crown mark. But thanks a million for helping me out, and yes, the pattern could b...

Mexico Serving Set Orchids

Hi All, I would love some help in identifying this set, I am nearly certain they are Mexican, but am having no luck with the mark after many hours of searching. Any thoughts would be welcome. They are quite heavy and the workmanship seems very nice. I have a spoon and this fork, I guess a salad serv...

Wow! Thanks so much for that, I was under the impression they were Dutch but couldn't get the specifics, but at least my hunch was right! Thanks again for all your effort! Cheers!

HELP - Dutch Candlesticks Reticulated

Hi folks, I have been trying to get a hold on these candlesticks now for a few weeks so thought I would attempt the group think and post here! Only reference I can come to of a maker IVK is on some Dutch Colonial silver made in Batavia (today Indonesia), otherwise am stumped. The markes read what lo...
