Birmingham Spoon - Willmore 1825 - Two Duty Marks?

I have this mustard Spoon I believe by Joseph Willmore assayed in 1825

1825 is not a year for double duty marks, does anybody havew any ideas why this would occur?

Hi George, You are right with 1795. Richard Crossley in my book, He had a mark of his own at this time before he entered into any partnership. I have several spoons he made from around this time so definately a spoon maker! The dot is a journeymans mark. The lack of a town mark is normal for 18th ce...

Newcastle Teaspoons PKS

Hi Mike,
Looks good to me : ) wasnt sure if it was IN or IM but no IM's seem close and Nelson looks very similar! Haven't had my copy of Grimwade long still getting the hang of it!

No other marks on the spoon i'm afraid.
The moderators have put this post in the silverplate board which might well be right from the feel of the spoon
