It's a Georgian beer jug, dated 1741- a lovely piece! Unfortunately someone has cut the handle and inserted insulators so that it can be used for hot liquids, but it is still a very nice thing! I have a very similar pitcher, the handles are almost identical. Mine has a front mark of a left facing woman on a crown. I jsut started researching this. If you find anything about yours please share, it could help. I'll do the same.
