Oh yes now you have pointed it out and given me the link i can see clearly it is the mark for Neresheimer silver, thank you again for your help i would be lost without this site, so many well inform people on here :-)

Hi I have a lovely imported silver caddy spoon, but i dont know who or where this other marks come from or the date any help would be appreciated i know it was imported into Chester in 1899 by B Muller & Son but havent got a clue what the other marks are, would love to know where it originates f...

Hi Krisztián Thank you for the link to your earlier post it is very helpful, so it seems Vevey Switzerland is where it originates from, do you have any idea what these Roman Numerals are for XVI/XVII .......... i understand its where the date is on that site but it just translates to 16-17. Here is ...

Just thought i would add the photo of the stunning desk wax seal which is a bronze of Napoleon 1st with which has the crest of the 2nd French Empire

Hi I have just worked out the initial to each side near the top, it is for N B, as this is the 2nd French Empire these initials are more likey to be for Napoleon iii, i was just wonderfing would he have used this seal himself or would it just be used officially, any help would be appriciated

Thank you so much for your information, i had never seen that mark before, i didnt want to mention at the begining that i purchased it as an 18th century piece, just incase they were wrong, its great to be able to put a name to it, thanks to your help :-)
