I have a new ID name but I am the OP of this post. I am still looking for info on this bracelet. Someone said they got one in malachite in the 1980's at an incense shop and it was made in Tibet. Anyone think that could be Tibetan?? It weighs 39 grams.

That could be. Have you ever known an American item to be just marked PATENT? I have seen the usual patented, patent pending and variations thereof but not patent.
Style wise, my guess is Austria/Germany. I have some new ideas for searching, if I find anything I will get back to this thread. Thanks!

I posted the one I have (I think it's Moroccan) on another board here and figured all this out after I posted for info. I tried fastening the pin as the article described and it holds very well.

Looks like the Iraq hallmark.
