This one if you held it and looked at it I think you would say 20th century, I am more of the mind its second half of 20th century, thought this would be an easy one as in someone would recognise this mark as its quite unique, thus far it still remains a mystery

I think I will hand it into Edinburgh Assay Office for testing and marking, the downside is an old piece is going to have modern marks if it passes assay which I believe it will.

I have looked up this and can see a resemblance to that, it would I think because of date be the 5th Earl of Chesterfield if we are on the correct path, it may have altered slightly with each Earl but kept the main body of the design?

I assume 19th century but will be difficult not knowing the maker the actual age.
