Unknown Crest. Masonic or Religious?

Silver dessert spoon hallmarked London 1807..Nothing at all out of the ordinary but for the symbol on the terminal. I wonder if anyone recognises this symbol, My initial thoughts are it may be Masonic or religious ? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v439/vintagecollector/Caithness/P1650198-1.jpg htt...

Re: Aposotle Spoon , Help Required, Chester?

Thanks Trev, I appreciate that, Not at all disapointed as such...The mark threw me and it came in a boxed set of 12, however this is a replacement as the other are all London Victorian examples so possibly one was lost and this was a later replacement.. Hopefully someone can give a little more infor...

Re: Additional Info required on Dutch Spoon with Guild Marks

The silversmith is PvdW* which is the hallmark for P van der Woude who worked in Sneek in The Netherlands from 1898 until 1917, this information i have just received so it is now confirmed the spoon is not manys years older than the English mark.

Hi Silverport
Many thanks for your thoughts, I would imagine you could be on the right track regarding it being an apprentice piece, As yet I still have not been able to track down the P.O.R mark.
