Re: PJL Mark on a Very Large French Silver Spoon

Thanks again! I lived Uptown 2005-10 getting my PhD at TU. And I started my little shop, "Crescent City Connection" there too! Obviously named after New Orleans. I miss the people. DC people aren't the same..

Stay safe!

In spite of my technical ineptitude, helpful people like you keep me coming back to 925 for almost a decade. I'm so grateful. Thank you. You must have an amazing library. I have a couple other French pi...

Delete the thread, Trev. I can't figure it out. I'll try a different forum.

Re: What is this Animal Head Baltimore Related Accession Mark?

There are probably a lot of possibilities to explain how this could happen as Turin was and is a very important Italian city. It could have been an American with long term political or business interests. Perhaps getting the assay marks was fashionable for expats-- like a stamp in your passport. I c...

Re: What is this Animal Head Baltimore Related Accession Mark?

Thank you, Amena! I'm grateful for your expertise. It makes complete sense that a collector or perhaps even a person living abroad might seek to have the items assayed.

What is this Animal Head Baltimore Related Accession Mark?

Hi there, I'm baffled!! I've got several coin silver pieces by unrelated Baltimore makers which seem to have traveled together and have what I think may be an accession mark in common. Has anyone ever seen this mark before? https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jp...

Norwegian Baptismal Spoon with Unknown Maker

Hi there, I could use a little help with this presumably Norwegian baptismal spoon. Anyone know the maker and time period? I'm guessing 1890-1920, but I'm not sure. Thanks! ADMIN: If this gets ID'd, feel free to use the mark for the index. Nate https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg https://www.925-...
