Thank you so much for the date info, much earlier than I'd imagined. Can anyone say what they are made from? Would they be silver gilt? They're very 'gold' coloured.

Thanks again,
Lucy

Help with maker please and are these silver gilt?

I'd like confirmation please that the knife and fork have a Dresden mark. No idea what the other marks are so again any help with those would be wonderful. Also, are they silver gilt? Many thanks again! Lucy http://f.imagehost.org/t/0447/Gold_Coloured_Knife_Mark_1.jpg http://g.imagehost.org/t/0576/G...

Thank you. Once again I am miles off the mark - literally!

I looked at all the date charts but as a novice the differences between letters is so subtle. They're probably blindingly obvious to you!

Thanks again.

Tiny Gold Charm - Maker unknown

I'm assuming this is a charm, I've no idea what else it could be with a diameter of just 12mm. There is a mark on the back which I think is 1899. However I can't identify the left hand mark, or the makers mark. Any help would be gratefully received. Many thanks Lucy http://i.imagehost.org/t/0089/Gol...

Help dating Napkin Rings Please

Hello I have a set of 4 napkin rings by Payton Pepper & Co. The base of the box has a sticker saying 'Birmingham 1857' The 1857 has been crossed out and replaced with 1871. From what I can find out about PP&Co, both of these dates would be too early. I think the date letter could be 1901 but...

Sugar tongs - sliver or plate?

Hello again! Can anyone tell me if the tongs pictured are silverplate or silver? I think they're plated but have no idea what the marks mean - I'm sure there will be someone out there who can help. Many, many thanks and again, apologies for the 'yellow' images! Lucy http://g.imagehost.org/t/0826/Sug...

Hello again I can't identify the maker of these plated sugar tongs. Also, is it possible to date them from the stamps? Many thanks once again, Lucy http://g.imagehost.org/t/0758/Sugar_Tongs_1_Mark.jpg http://g.imagehost.org/t/0865/Sugar_Tongs_1_Picture.jpg

Date confirmation please - sugar tongs

Hello Despite the great wealth of information I'm not sure of the date of these Hawksworth, Eyre & Co sugar tongs. I'm thinking 1893 but could be completely wrong! Many thanks and apologies for the 'yellow' images! http://g.imagehost.org/t/0917/Sugar_Tongs_3_Mark.jpg http://g.imagehost.org/t/069...

Is my baking spoon silver?

Hello First time on here, and I've absolutely no idea where to post a completely unknown item so forgive me if it's in the wrong place! I have three metal baking spoons which I've been using for the past 15 years. They were my mothers and grandmothers baking spoons prior to that! I've onlly just not...
