Maker Identification on Sterling spoon

Might be a long shot this one, I have been through the pictorial American marks, but not confident enough to find who may have made this spoon. Showing the marks present, the handle and spoon bowl, in case that helps with the identification. Any help would be appreciated. https://www.925-1000.com/pi...

London importer maker mark ID please

I have a German .930 silver spoon, German maker Richard Garten. I have looked for the import mark on here, Phil's site and another site, but I have not been able to find it. The date of the spoon is 1890. Showing both sets of marks, the German marks for reference. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg....

At least they didn't dismiss the possibility, that is encouraging. Maybe one day we will all get a definitive answer. Please tell you friend thank you from me for contacting them.

Re: Maker / importer ID of salt spoon

Interesting theory and you could be on to something. I have had one spoon with the MA and tree mark on before, I think I remember posting it on here back then, it was a few years ago.

Agree with Phil, particularly about experience of Exeter marks when no town mark is present.

I would say it is Joseph Rodgers, but this is their silverplate mark, not silver
