I think it is 1885 (date letter i) Birmingham assay office, not idea on the maker, sorry. Thank you so much for responding to my inquiry! However, according to this site, it seems a piece from 1885 would bear the letter "l" and the year 1883 would be represented with an "i". I a...
I think these marks are Italian, I know 750 denotes 18K, the town mark is VA for Varese then there is a 37 or it could be 87 for the makers mark / number. The shape of the surround, looks to be the one used between 1944 - 1968 The only thing that puzzles me is that when I have come across Italian ma...
It is a silver snail shaped snuff I am presuming. The marks are on the lid, which is why they are small and hard to capture, but also because of the the lid being in the style of a clam shell, they are also difficult to decipher! I have just taken some quick photos of the object, not the best light ...

I can see a lion passant on the left, on the right side looks like a head, but I could be mistaken. There is a makers mark, but I have been unable to read that either. These a...

There appears to be two town marks, one Amsterdam and one for the City of Zwolle There is a lion present, with the number 2 (.833 fineness) and a key (export mark if I remember correctly) Is there a mak...
Just to add, Birmingham assay office have been very helpful for me in the past with identifying modern makers marks, just make sure you send them a photo of the makers mark when you email them.
Thank you for your reply Phil and help. I can see what you mean, but compared to the makers mark on the other half, I would have to say I am not sure 100%, but it is certainly a possibility. Other half of the case makers mark shown below. https://www.925-1000.com/pics/Ximg.jpg silvercollection.it do...
