Thanks Trev, I was just wondering about that. I hadn't found his immigration record yet, but I know there is more out there about him.

I have no idea who the maker of your faux pearl necklace is, but it's interesting that the clasp appears to resemble the trademark.

Thank you again Cheryl. I guess these are mint leaves at the end of the sippers. They're well done and maybe make a drink a bit more refreshing.

Jeweler and Lager Beer Saloon

Jewelers and silversmiths have held some interesting combinations of occupations. Here's one that I just came across: from the Gazetteer & Business Directory for Albany & Schenectady Co, New York 1870-71, Jacob Knupfer, jeweler and lager beer saloon, 28 Howard, City of Albany.

Tiffany Drink Straws

Hello, I'm looking for any background information that may be out there about these drink straws such when they were produced, the correct term to identify them and anything else that is available. The jeweler that retailed them was Frank R Ford Jewelry Co in Norkolk, Virginia (1910-1985). Thank you...

Frederick J Posey who was born in New Hampshire in about 1817 is listed as a jeweler and silversmith in Hagerstown, Maryland in the 1850 through 1870 census's. He would not have been working in his own right much before 1836.

I don't have anybody other than the gentleman that Cutten references with one obvious typo in his notes which does nothing to explain the 1820 year you have given for the beginning of Frederick's working period. My question is not just idle. Where does the year 1820 fit into all this, and if it does...
