Not at all sure if it is SA - You may be right that it is Norwegian but I have a feeling this is early 19th century, much in the style of an English piece and perhaps by an English trained or influenced silversmith.

Can anyone help? - there is no category for South African silver so I have put it here in other countries - of course I might be completely wrong and it is from an entirely different part of the world.
