Hi and welcome to the forum, In my opinion there is a town mark (that may be an animal or horse) and a year letter (I or J) and the maker CS and 1706. The 1706 can be interpreted in two ways at least; the first is when the beaker was made by CS (a common practice by masters in Copenhagen, Denmark) a...

Hi historydetective,

I assume that the candlesticks are Swiss, you mention that you have seen a pair made by Jezler and have seen a pair made by Schelhaas (in Zürich?).

Hope this helps,

Hi, The maker of your pewter plate is Gottfried Benjamin Krause, master in Meissen 1815 and a member of the guild until 1852, when he died. His widow continued with the business until 1854 and then his son. Ref: Hintze, Erwin, (1921), Sächsische Zinngiesser , Leipzig: Karl W Hierseman. (G. B. Kraus...

Hi and welcome to the forum, Your tea pot was made by Gebrüder Glaser in Hanau. The firm was founded in 1883 and a merger took place in 1914, so I presume that your tea pot was made between 1883 and 1914. http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fa...
