Thank you. That makes sense. It is engraved a name on one side and on the other side "Oct 14, 1826 1886" so I think it was done in memory of someone who passed.
This one says 925, 1000, an animal figure, Sterling, Patent 1895. Any idea what the mark is? Also what might this spoon have been designed for with its 5 segmented sections? I spent about an hour last night posting pictures of 4 sterling spoons, hoping to get help with. Submitted it and it said it was accepted. Now its not anywhere to be found. Was it removed?
