excellent and thankyou very much indeed for all of your help :) i can now rest easy knowing that i have at least a vintage pair of decanters *wants antique* i wish i was a port swilling edwardian master... would have perished of severe gout by the time i was 40 though im sure and those ruddy servant...

Wow thankyou so much! and there i was thinking it was solid silver, so electroplate silver? is that a first generation 'epns' equivelant?is it a particularly old spoon then ie:1844?
