You are right, Tom! Arezzo is a province. Wikipedia is wrong. There are around 100 provinces in Italy, not 20. Perhaps they mix up provinces and regions? I don't know.

My reference book only says 1973, and I think that refers to the year the mark was registered. My guess is that the letters TVØ are the initials of the founder of the company, and that Finn Øyen is a son or grandson that took over in 1973. I found this mark printed along with the teapot mark on page 111 in the book "Norsk bestikk i sølv og plett"(2000). Look it up if you have that book. I think it must be the same.

I believe you are right. Saethers usually have a teapot as their hallmark, so I didn't think of that firm, but I have found this mark in one of my books now :)
