(Thanks to whoever updated my original post.)

:-)

I'm back with more information.

After looking at the letters again, I’m now not sure if it is MAY or MAX, sorry.

Also, on loser examination the blob looks like right facing animal or bird. First time it seemed like a parrot, next a turtle.

Although not marked as silver I believe that the screwbacks are silver. Here is another image of the marks from the back of anearring. These thumbnails link to a website page and additional images of the earrings. Thanks. http://aycu23.webshots.com/image/48222/2004053740787660244_th.jpg

Mexican Screwback Earrings Marked MEXICO

Hello, I have some Silver /Brass /Copper earrings. Mark is MAY and what could be a sun as the last character. I looked in the known Mexican marks and did not see this one. Would it be okay to post since the items are not % Silver? Maybe a mark you are looking for? Thanks :-) http://aycu17.webshots.c...

Israel 92? Ring and Maker's Mark

If anyone can help me date this ring by the marks I would be grateful. Otherwise I am posting these images to contribute to the website. http://aycu37.webshots.com/image/49276/2003087320991370589_th.jpg http://aycu25.webshots.com/image/48624/2003020943895763665_th.jpg http://aycu16.webshots.com/imag...

Thanks for the reply. I guess my sense of smell isn't as good as it used to be. I was sure your idea would work as I used to be bothered by the smells of different coins, silver and copper, when I was younger. I will try to purchase a home use digital scale which I hope will be suitable for the othe...

Sorry I meant to preview that to find the correct code. There is an bit of a mark before the E but it's just a faint dash. http://aycu08.webshots.com/image/45407/2005484262193889764_rs.jpg http://aycu21.webshots.com/image/47220/2005475881682693411_rs.jpg http://aycu04.webshots.com/image/48083/200549...

Pendant Marked MEXICO -E-39

Hello,

I am hoping that it would be possible to learn the Artist for this Pendant based on the letter/number code stamped on this item.

Thanks.

Thank you for the information. Where would I go to get this done? A jeweller? Is it expensive?

There is one mark that I found in Mexican Silver section that is similar but to me this one looks more like a boat?

Thank you for the reply.

I wish I knew for sure what the metal was.

My experience with pewter is that it is a very soft metal that is easily dinted and this is solid.

I guess another option is it is a piece of Nickel Silver?

Help with unusal Brooch /Pendant marked and numbered

I hope I am in the correct Forum? I have had this kicking around for a while and have tried several times to research the mark without success. Item is 2" long x 7/8" wide x almost 1/8" deep. I believe the # is 1346 (or maybe 1348?) Since the item is hard rather then soft I think it i...
