Hecho (ECHO) Mexico silver maker

It states either "HECHO" or "ECHO" "MEXICO", 925, "I.M.P" or "I.M.D" and a strange looking stamp that looks like an oval shape with two marks inside it that I cannot fathom. http://img197.imageshack.us/i/dscf1019aa.jpg/ http://img338.imageshack.us/i/...

I will assume that the pieces are probably from the 40s, not sure why, just a gut feeling. I can't remember seeing their mark with London hallmarks, but I don't see a lot of British silver in the mid-west of the United States. Thats why all of us posters send you stuff to view, but, unlike most of u...

They also have have hand scribed markings as follows, P/4547/2, not sure if this means anything other than wether its the sets reference or someone who worked the pieces? Were A Bros registered in London at some point? Heres the set below, black leather effect with silk lining, any guess on age by t...

Hi Pat, thanks for the correct detective work, once again. Try as I might, I caanot find any reference to EPNS wear from Adie Bros, only silver. A search on google found nothing but silver, no epns references. Also, some links staed that there was an Adie Bros in Birmingham also. Is there much info ...

A Bros, EPNS....Who are the Bros

Hi, Any ideas as to the makers mark? There A is large with the "Bros" and "Ltd" ascending and descending the A's sides. It also has EPNS followed by AI or A1. Its is a boxed set of a salt pot, lidded mustard pot, another open pot and two small spoons. I have no idea and it does n...

Tane. 925 and other marks on deco Ashtray set

n art deco looking, 6 cocktail ashtray set on a central pole.
The marks contain the small "Tane" impressed mark, AECHO (possibly H not A), 925 and I.M.P
Any ideas as to what the "AECHO" and I.M.P marks stand for?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info larkfield. Looking at the stamps today, the "&" does not almost join either the B or the R, they are all in their own spaces so to speak. I have managed to dig out my very old 1.2 digital fuji camera and take some closer shots, but as technology has moved on, the co...

Plated Toast Rack Makers Mark - Help

Hi, I have looked through the site to find the maker of my toast rack but cannot find it anywhere.

It is impressed as follows-
F.BROS.L:.S in an arched shape, with beneath it, but inside the arched area, E.P.N.S, next to them are the numbers 2615

Thanks Pat, very helpful. I guess I will never be able to date them any more exact than pre 1892. They are great items to own.

I had noticed that the more recent marks for this company had a flattened top to the "&" , these spoons do have the normal style, rounded top which would date them fairly early I think. It states on the website that they used the flat top mark from 1893 which these would pre date? If I...

Robert & Belk? - boxed spoons

I have a set of 6 boxed spoons with the impressed R&B mark followed by an alladins lamp. There are no other marks (appologies for the poor markings scan). I know nothing about them, as they are not marked 925 etc, should I assume they are silver plate? They have great nouveau style work to the h...
