Juhana-

Thank you for the city information. I see that Kokkola is in the Swedish-Finnish area near Vaasa where my family lived. My relatives must have wanted my Grandparents to have a gift from their homeland. Thank you again.

1948 Finnish Maker and City Mark Help

These are 2 small spoons, maybe for nuts or condiments. Finnish and dated T6 for 1948, so I believe they are wedding gifts for my grandparents. Can anyone help with the "HW" Maker mark and the City mark? Thanks. http://m1.freeshare.us/166fs330060.jpg http://m1.freeshare.us/166fs330322.jpg ...

Hose_dk Very helpful, thanks. Finland would make sense. With some imagination, the city mark could be Vaasa which would be close to where relatives were. But, the 925-1000 webage for Finland shows a box around the "C" for 1812..or am I not understanding the webpage? My thoughts on Sweden w...

Thanks, Hose_dk Attached is another picture of the marks. My guess at Scandinavian origin is based on family history. Also found a reference to the simple script "C" date mark as similar to first 1/2 18th century Swedish marking before the combination of number and date in a box. But I cou...

Swedish or Finnish Ladle?

I believe this ladle is either Swedish or Finnish, and I think it is fairly old. Can anyone help identify location, maker or date? Thanks.

Thanks, Pat. I didn't think this would be so difficult. I have posted another picture with the candle "wings" attached. They seem to match, so I think they belong. I have not been able to find any markings on it. The foot long ruler gives some sense of size. Another interesting observation...

Unknown Candlestick Marking

I have not been able to find any similar marking on the internet or at the library. Does anyone have a clue as to the maker, date and origin of my candlestick? At the rolled edge on the bottom I see glimpses of copper, so it must be plated. There are no other markings other than the one I have poste...
