Can anyone think of any relevance to this spoon design or is it just decorative.
Spoon dates to around 1870 I think? Silver with no hallmark.

I was stummped by this one, too. Guess it will remain a mystery.

It seems to be a cheaply made and originally-silver plated piece, but it has no makers marks on it .. just a design. Thanks Cheryl .. you are 100% correct. I was initially told it was silver plate, but even that turns out not to be the case.
It is actually brass.

Sorry for the confusion .. Admin can remove this thread since it turns out to be unrelated to silver.
