Sorry 'bout that, Tom.

One thing I didn't photograph is the name Carlton which
is engraved on the right side of the cup (relative to my
picture I provided). Is this a Christening Cup?

Thanks,

The "Spoon"

Had this ready yesterday but Yahoo! appears to be dying a slow death
and would not respond. Anyways, Granmaa here is the spoon:

No problem Granmaa; I'll get it out later today. However, it's nothing too
exotic looking in my opinion. It has a London, 1907 mfg date on it.

Spoke too soon again...

Never mind Granmaa-- I spoke too soon again. I see the rest of this web site
is packed full of info. I found the "London Date Letters - 1696 - 1935 & Maker's Marks" page.

Thanks very much,

Thanks Granmaa, I've got the glass liner and a spoon. I had difficulty photoing [sic] the jar with the glass in the sun--it was very sunny and hot today and that caused tremendous glare. Do you mind if I ask what (source or reference) you used for the date? I know the letter P indicates the date, bu...

After a quick search...

Well, stupid me, I should've looked for the letters GJDF as they appear in the photos. That lead me to http://www.925-1000.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7917&highlight=gjdf in this forum. And now I see why I could not find anything written about it--it's complicated. RJK75 Toronto, Canada .

Sugar or Jam Bowl?

I've determined that the subject item is a British Sterling mark. However, I've looked and could not find anything for the date and maker of this neat little serving jar. It measures about 6 or 7 inches high, has marks on the inside of the lid, the handle, and the body. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/j...
