Thanks Nigel I'm pretty sure the date is right- it is definately a Z and the shape of the outline looks right. Will check out James Charmichael and see where that leads. Thanks :)
Just for interests sake I want to know the history about a napkin ring my grandmother gave me. It is engraved with a beautiful butterfly design.
