Trademark _P_ in a Tilted Square

Hi. I have a silverplate teapot, engraved with "Officers Club Fort Winfield Scott" on the front, and am wondering if a date can be determined by the trademark.

The mark is a capital P inside a tilted square, with horizontal lines above and below the letter.
