Re: Up identified London? Maker S*B of sterling silver Crea

The marks you are showing in 2nd photo are Sponsor as you found, Town mark for Birmingham,
Lion Passant for sterling silver and the Birmingham Date Letter which I read as 1930.

Re: Help in identifying Maker's Mark and Town

Hi.
I believe your spoons to be sponsor - Roberts and Belk, town mark - Sheffield (the mark was a crown until 1975
when it became the rose emblem) and date - 1981.

Hi
I believe the London import mark was turned upside down from 1975, so that shown for 1990 on the clock is correct way up

Re: Please Help? E CO ? Sterling Candle Holder

Good day
The marks are to me are for Elkington and Co. Their should be a & between the top of the E & C. Mark appears worn. Year looks like 1908
For information on Elkington & Co, I would suggest you Google the name, and you will probably find almost all you can want.

Comment: Re Inhabitants Pass Ticket - What confirms this to be to the Funeral. To me all the ticket says is that the holder can pass on foot to No. 17 Fleet Street until 8 o clock on that day which to me is equal to a residents pass to their residence or whatever. Re: Think I've cracked this Egyptian heavy bangle but...

Hi
To me, all the marks are unclear, but from what I can see of the first mark on the first photo,
it is the combined assay office and quality mark, the upper mark being the assay office.
I wouldn't guess as to what it is from the picture I have.
