Hi I would be grateful for any assistance in establishing the marks on this fork, I cant seem to get an accurate date from the site. the makers mark appears to be D(?)W with two stars above then a lion in a hexagon with '2' below the a head facing left then an unusual mark which looks like a 2 tilte...

I have located that a number of American Civil War buttons are very simmilar to this design and quite a few have the same makers mark on the back 'Warranted best quality' I think on the front the peacock is in fact a wild Turkey, which may link to Ben Franklin who advocated the national symbol of Am...
