Sometimes “limited” as in Ltd was abbreviated LD. The D is superscript here, nestled into the L, so that suggests it’s “E Limited” – whatever the E stands for.

He actually asked for ELD. There are a few specimen around with import marks. I have a crystal vase with silver vase, London import mark plus date letter for 1966.
