I would just like to add that I don't believe it to be a 'B'. Wherever it is stamped on both bracelets it is constructed the way you would write an 'R' and there is no curving towards or line at what would be the top of a 'B'.

I have looked up tughra on Wikipedia which gives a lot of detail about this symbol. There are definite similarities in the overall shape. Also I did think that the bracelets are Egyptian Bedouin. However any I have seen on the internet are much cruder and the engraving a lot coarser. Any ideas about...

I have found a creamer very similar to this, they say that it carries hallmarks for Abraham Barrier. Does Grimwade's show a mark for him? There is a 1775 mark for him in Jackson's but it has a dot between the A and B.
