The beast here is specifically a rattlesnake. Unfortunately, a very common theme in the southwest, which doesn't help much in trying to find this maker. True. So hard to find who it is. Beautiful piece and did notice that it was a rattlesnake when I found a fake serpent one with no eyes or stripes ...
