Silver plated necklace chain

Hello everyone, I have a necklace chain that looks like silver plated with secure swivel clasp that looks antique and in Art style. It is not surprising that there are not hallmarks however on one link is a writing. What ever it means I can not decipher it. Any ideas would be welcomed. Thank you. h...

Re: Silver serving spoon mark

I have contacted Consumer Service of WMF Group in Germany. They kindly replied with the following information: "The mark looks like the I/O mark, that was used by WMF for "commonly silvered items". That means that 1 g silver was used for 1 qcm surface". I am now waiting for furt...

Silver plated sugar tongs

I have this sugar/ice cubes tongs from France. I am saying it with caution because some of my previous items turned up not to be of French provenance at all. Although the tangs have visible areas very the silver rubbed off and the base metal shows there is no visible hallmark I can see. So perhaps ...

Absolutely smashing. Thank you both.
My ladle does not have digits "90" as per link. Does it matter?

Silver double sided ladle with "B + train/engine" hallmark

Hi, I have this ladle from France. There is only one hallmark. Can I ask to help me to trace the origin of the item and decipher the hallmark? Thank you. https://i.postimg.cc/vHHCD6TK/Both-sided-Ladle-1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/mgDYcCvt/Both-sided-Ladle-2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/BvhHJ6Y2/Both-side...

Silver serving spoon mark

I have this old serving spoon. I presume that it is silver and not silver plated as the silver has not rubbed off anywhere. There are no hallmarks. The only marking is at the back of the handle as per photo. Would anyone know what the mark means? Thank you. https://i.postimg.cc/281NpkZm/Silver-Servi...

Salt Spoon with "cA" Hallmark

Hi, I have this very small spoon. One hallmark says "800" and with the one "cA hammer" I would like to ask for help to identify the silver maker and the period. The length is 6.5 cm (2.5 inches). The item is likely to be French and maybe from 1930s. https://i.postimg.cc/j21dMcs2/...
