Re: Match box marks, Auction house listed it as French

Hi Members
Would it be possible to see an image of the whole box ? The engraving looks interesting, one of my boxes has a similar dragon head, and I am curious if there may be some similarities ,my box has no marks.

Re: unusal spoon,Maybe dutch ,looks like English marks?

Hi many thanks to both ,Legrandmogol ,and AG.
for your input on the spoon,I feel you are correct about it being a cream spoon after seeing the Dutch ones.

Again great work by you both ,many thanks , a friend just gave it to me knowing I collect small silver boxes and other things.

Regards Guido.

Re: unusal spoon,Maybe dutch ,looks like English marks?

Hi AG Great Work many thanks, Have You seen these spoons before ? do you think the curve under the lion should stay like it is ? or do you think it should be straightened to go up past the figure? (I feel it should go up past the lion in my opinion) not sure on your thoughts. Again many thanks Guido.

Re: can the crown on this sweets box be identified?

Hello
on viewing the crown marks again ,the crown on the maker August Dingeldein &son looks close to my crown.

The image is not clear and the tips on my crown are not there, but the general shape looks similar to me.

Re: can the crown on this sweets box be identified?

Many thanks AG
I knew it was a long shot, someone may come across this crown ,as you say on a piece with makers name.
as crown marks were not standard,we should be able to place the shape of the crown with maker eventually.

Regards Guido.
