Hi. Have an old silver and cut glass compote. Thanks to one of your posters I learned some info on this (maker and country of origin). I was told it is from Berlin and the maker was Carl Heinrich Schoppe. With that info I saw that if I flipped the assayers marks it is a bear with a "K" and...

Hi. Thank you very much. So I am assuming it is around 800 silver, is this correct? Also I am guessing the one hallmark is a bear for Berlin. Does anyone know what the other hallmark is (the one that looks like a running ghost). Possibly an import mark? Just trying to learn more about Continental si...

Hi came upon an old compote recently. Looks European and feels sterling. Does anyone know the country of origin? Is is Sterling, Alloy, Plate Any info is appreciated. Thanks
