This is a better one - the G is different to the ones I have researched - it goes up at the top -

Can't find correct 'G' Walking stick date letter G makers mark WAS
Hi, this is my first post. I have a nobbled wood (branch) walking stick which appears to have a bone handle and a silver collar. The marks are the English lion followed by a sideways Chester mark. The 'G' date letter is different to any of the 'G's' I have seen and am at a loss as to the exact year....
